Dignified, affordable rental homes for South African families.

We are a non-profit company formed to develop, own and manage well-located rental housing for households who earn too much for a subsidy home and too little for the open market, and to account for every rand and every tenant relationship.

Where we are: We are preparing for SHRA accreditation. No homes or allocation waiting list are available yet. You can ask to be notified about future opportunities.

Building with us

What we bring to a restructuring zone, how our stage-gate project process protects public money, and how to open a conversation about land, funding or a joint project.

Our charter

Rights, once written down, must be honoured.

Five commitments govern how we work. They are written into our board charter and policy suite, and we will report against them from the day the first homes open.

01Genuinely affordable

Rents set for the qualifying income band and reviewed transparently.

02Well located

Homes inside declared restructuring zones, close to work, transport, schools and clinics.

03Well run

Planned maintenance, safe buildings and a responsive tenant service.

04Fairly allocated

A published allocations framework and a waiting list anyone can understand.

05Accountable

Board oversight, independent assurance and reporting to the regulator.

Where we are

An institution in formation, stated plainly.

We are preparing our application to the Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) for accreditation as a Social Housing Institution. We are not yet accredited, no homes exist yet and no waiting list is open for allocation.

What we can do now is talk: to municipalities and landowners about sites, to funders about the capital stack, and to households who want to be told when the first homes open. Our full status, including what we do and do not do at this stage, is published in one place and dated.
